I really do pity some people on this thread, if the majority of those shouting down at the Yes voters had their way, it would be like the 50s with women staying at home acting like servants cooking, cleaning and doing nothing else. Racism and Sexism would be widely accepted and gays would be discriminated against.

Thank god we dont have these people in power. Seems they are also getting more angry as they themselves arent actually proving their points well and their views clearly arent the same as the general public.

The NSC poll results are now near enough the exact same as the MORI poll a few pages back.

The good old days,,,,,,,look at the state of the country these days. At least back in the 50's people had respect and were proud of their country.

Scared? I am scared of how sick our society is becoming that is all. Each Government prepared to prostitute itself in an ever increasing desire to win the gay votes. I hope the Tories give "Call me Dave" a real kicking for his actions.

Just out of interest, have you ever posted on here under any other name?

You see, I remember a used called 'Pork Sword' once making virtually word-for-word the same drooling, moronic points you have made here.

Did you not say earlier that you understood that gay people were born that way therefore by defintion it is as nature intended? (apologies if it wasn't you)

I did, but nature does produce freeks from time to time, but usually they do not live past birth. E.g. the runts of dog litters. And I did say I feel sorry for them, as I do. However, I do really worry that there is a growing trend towards gays being produced by fashion trends, rather than their actual core feelings.

The good old days of racism, sexism and discrimination - i dont even know where to start with that comment.

If you take off your anti-everything glasses, you can clearly see people are proud of the UK. Just look at the Jubilee and the Olympics last year - near enough everyone was patriotic about that.

I think it is nice that most fans of the club seem to support it as it shows our tolerance and modern ideals compared to many other clubs. However those who don't can exercise that right because we are a democracy, you can't condemn someone because you feel they voted the wrong way because it would breach of our rights, particularly if those individuals are respectful of others despite there opposing beliefs that some who oppose on here seem to be. Personally i wish i was gay, my girlfriend doesn't show enthusiasm when i put on sky soccer sunday or ever suggest a game of fifa.

Not at all.

Even then, it doesn't matter if that was the case. It's not about factions or proving a point, it's about a healthy social debate (which for the most part it has been). There isn't a winner or loser - merely a consideration as to where one stands on this one issue.

Where people have disagreed, some of the requests for clarification have been quite polite. There was a comic moment when bushy went innumerate. There's been some shitty posts (pork pie is getting quite cross), but that's par for this board.

To my mind, one shouldn't make the presumptive mistake that just because there's a debate about homosexuality on a Brighton board that it will be over-whemingly supportive. The gay community in Brighton (and this is not to pigeon-hole them) and the football supporting community in Brighton don't massively overlap.

What I would say is that the results above are largely in line with national poll results.

Of course it's going to be a one sided debate. It's like turkeys voting for Christmas. Post this debate on any northern teams forum and the results will be the opposite to this one. Or are they all just ignorant thick northerners?

So your scared that society is becoming more equal ?

Christ on a f***ing bike.

Equal? What has that to do with anything? It is what is right that we should concern ourselves about. When will pedoes be given the right to abuse kids? After all, they surely cannot help their desires either? Where are the boudaries of our society moving to?

Ahhh the good old Jubilee, that I was all in favour of and let's all have a good old celebration. I seem to recall however an overwhelming number of people on here kept saying, the monarchy is dead, it's a waste of public money, the Queen is a waste of time blar blar blar. I wonder which people they were?

This has been an interesting debate, for the most part, without resort to name calling and insults. Your recent posts have crossed a line as far as I'm concerned. Tone it down please.
