Love God's Way, "a Faith based Ministry with the goal of spreading God's Love through teaching and healing," has published a list of "gay bands" and "safe bands." I'm not making this up. They also have a section on their website called "C.H.O.P.S." which stands for "CHANGING HOMOSEXUALS into ORDINARY PEOPLE."

Anyway... here's the intro the group put up as an introduction to their "Gay Band" list. Of course the list is below as well as their "Safe Bands" list. Feel free to email the ministry's pastor, Donnie Davies with any bands he may have missed.

Seems like a remake of a DJ Mylo song is begging to be made.

To a disco beat of course.

With cow bells.

And stuff.

Bjork and Elton John are bands?

I think this list is misleading.

Queen and Village people only had one gay member, as far as I know. Freddy Mercury and the Red Indian (sorry Native American)

I know I say this every week, but I think I've now really heard it all.

Hello Friends, I hope you take the time to read the quote by our good friend and compatriot, Oscar Wilde. In that one quote Oscar brings to life the isolation and despair of what he refers to as "us", the homosexuals. It is a long, lonely, desolate road, homosexuality. I've been there, friends. I know how horrible and rough that road can be. I have been called a "Faggot". You are not alone and guess what, God Loves You even if he hates your Homosexuality. You just can't stay that way. Let me help you love yourself. Follow me and together we'll C.H.O.P.S away the Gay.

Elton John must be really really gay.

He's in that list twice!

...but Cindy Lauper was denounced in the DJ Mylo Song. Strange ... perhaps she's seen the error of her ways and become a God-fearing ordinary person.

Glad to see Fischerspooner get the attention they deserve. Great great electronic band.

Can I also recommend Miss Kittin and the Hacker, Ladytron, Fannypack. Seriously these are all excellent bands, guaranteed to subvert your children.

Nice to see Peaches isn't mentioned though. Good wholesome techno.

Anyone who saw The Darkness at the Brighton Centre last year would, I am fairly sure, agree that The Ark from Sweden should be included on this list... if such a list should exist in the first place.

Looking at the two lists I think I'd rather be gay.

Cindi Lauper? Safe? If the lezzers aren't dancing around to "Girls Just To Want To Have Fun" every weekend then, well, they should be.

"Strangers in the night - exchanging glances"

Obviously written about a chance encounter in the Gents on Clapham Common. Obviously.

And as for Motorhead's classic third album "Bummer", I think that's self-explanatory.
