i think he's having a fantastic euro so far and that really over the years has hardly ever let england down

i know people go on about the neville's but i think most of that is due to phil really and although i hate him when he plays for manure cos he's a moaning bastard he's done england fantastic service

Gary Neville was a rock tonight, and he's been pretty good all 3 games to be honest. And 1 assist!

The kind of game he plays... he'll only ever be 'shit' by making mistakes. And he's made none. So that makes him good :)

Gary Neville is improving all the time. Every time I see him he gets better and better.

he is a good defender- everyone is aware of that, and he can link up well with beckham. they havent done yet, but beckham isnt on form. but our best right back.

they linked up to set gerrard's goal up against the swiss!! neville doing wat he does best getting into the box and laying a decent ball across the box.

neville's game is about being rock solid at the back and he does that well

No one plays better than him with Beckham on the right wing. And he's contributing a lot more as an attacking option - really intelligent crosses recently.
Think if you asked many Premiership players, they'd suggest him as a potential England captain. Unfortunately, the Neville family reputation precedes him. Will have to settle for being an union agitator. But this England team, for all its talents, needs a few people to speak up on the pitch, so think he's got a really valuable role to play. Neville, Judas, Beckham, Gerrard, Lampard, Scholes, Rooney and Owen - not a bad backbone to rely upon, really - if all perform to their potential, that is...

he only came on for 6 mins and did 2 things of note
1 gave an instant free kick on the edge of the box away
2 put a routine pass to gerrard out of play to end a promosing england break

Respect to G.Nevilles footballing ability but what that poor excuse of a moustache about. It looks like its the sort of effort from a 14 year old trying to look adult

ha ha it doesnt even give bumluff a run for its money !

Rooney could have outgrown that at the age of 4 . . .having said that he was probably born with furry palms anyway !

As mentioned on Fantasy footaball last night, bringin on Phil Neville is like when Ronny O'Sullivan plays left handed. england are so in control that they can start show boating by gringin on that uselss pile of shite.

He, unlike his brother is an absolute f**cking liability. And I'm Scottish!!"

I would make neville capt.
Before you all shot me reasons why

Beckham is only capt because he is our best known player
He does not seem to motivate with neville seems to be doing all the time
He never lets england down unlike beckham
he has knowledge of the game

he's good going forward, very impressive . . .but a bloody liability in defence at times

Wayne Bridge would have been my choice, but we have to keep the consistency of the team together . . . . .SOl Campbell got Cole out of gaol a few times last night

Gary Neville has played very well in the tournement so far. He works well with Beckham down the right and is a good motivator.

Quality moment in the pub last night when Lampard was subbed there was a round of applause and some cheers, the camera then showed Phillip Neville coming which was greeted by a spontanious grown of from all those watching.

Neville is definatley our best right back and extremly reliable.
cole is having a good tournament aswell.
so is campbell and obviously rooney.
owen and scholes seem to be improving each game. just hope beckham can get his arse into gear.

or Sven has the guts to put his arse on the bench !

definatley an option worth considering. but when you see he was the top goalscoring midfielder from all teams in qualifing then it shows just how important he is.
