This time last year the majority of us felt it was time OGH was to go despite him being a complete legend.

But 12 months later the man should further his spell with the Albion possibly indefinitely.

Not that I am trying to undermine Wilkins, I like Dean but my god what a difference a manager can make to a player.

When a team is in a serious slump, as we have been for most of his season, it has been my theory that "it can't be the manager, it has to be the players".
Boy, has that theory ever gone for a loop!

but by hart's own admission he hadn't really recovered from his injuries over the last two years.

but he has been great. just seems to have clicked into the position he's been playing.

Not many people doubted OGH's capabilities at the bottom of League One or League Two. Just his contribution to a promotion chasing team. Of course that was then ........................

Stll the man has done well.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think he has changed his game a little. I always remember him as a speedy, aggressive kind of player. Against Oldham particularly he showed some fantastic silky touches and lay offs. Owusu likens him to Mark Hughes in today's Argus. I think it's this new approach that will prolong his career with us and not just that he is an utter legend.

All credit to him for that. There was a time when he concentrated more on winding up the opposition than the ball.
