It's a hugely impressive team and it would be very tough to come up with a rival team to finish above that side. As nice as Eriksens story has been and his performances have been hugely impressive I can't be having a player who has only really played for a third of the season, that would be my only criticism.

Potter is on the BBC’s manager of the season poll which is similar to the official one, just with the justified exclusion of Viera.

A team of the year from outside the big six would be of more interest to me. The one that Crooks has picked isn't half as bad as I was expecting - even if the formation is off its head - albeit the Erikssen pick is a clear case of recency bias.

In a best of the rest team, there would be good cases for Cucurella, EarlySeason Dunk, Bissouma & Webster and Trossard even if I wouldn't expect to see all of them in the team.
