Now I would love to get Gannon but don't think it will happen to be honest. But he seems to have a clause in his contract that means we will be allowed to talk to him!

Well it seems he is on a short list with Poyet and Adkins. I doubt he would but after a week I would hope Bloom has only shortlisted managers who want it?! Or at least have said lets talk.

I have heard that levelled at him before. He is on of the most out spoken managers around and his teams play quality attacking football. He is not a flair name like Poyet but he would get us to the promised land I am sure!

Why would a manager swap SPL(possible european) football for a L1 club?
Can only be for more money, which to me means he'd be another to jump ship should a 'bigger' club show interest in the future.

If we could get Gannon I think there would always be a doubt about how long he would stay. He turned us down once, moved to Scotland when he later lost his job and, were he to join us, would be walking away from them after less than a year in charge. He's clearly talented and ambitious but we don't really want to be treated as a stepping stone again do we?

Wouldn't we want someone who's strength is more discipline or defence?

Greame Smith made the jump.

SPL, outside Rangers/Celtic isn't considered that great, nor are there great chances for advancement. It's the peak of scottish football, and he is stuck as hgih as he will go in a league that is barely one step above a joke, and won't make it on to any premier league club's lists for potential replacement.

If he comes down to us, and helps get us up, helps us become established in the championship, his stock will rise more than it can in the SPL, he'll have a larger chance of making an english premier league list. He even has the chance of making it to the epl with us.

It may seem distant now, but either with us, or using us to get noticed, he'd have a better chance of reaching the prem.
