Am I missing something. Ultimately gamestop is now an absurd, blatant bubble why not short it now?

patience padawan, wait for the fomo to end. right now reaction to the short interest is driving up the price in a weird paradox.

This is exactly what has been happening for the last day or two, which is driving up the price even more, and having the WSB people double down even more. It's essentially a game of chicken where the chaps on Reddit stand to lose a lot less than BILLIONS of dollars that the Hedges do.

I am glad someone explained this....

I am more intrigued as to what triggered the Reddit people to do this or is this part of a silent revolution

Is it going to make the investors on Reddit $$$ or is it more about making these parasitic investors lose $$$. Or a bit of both? Either way this is going to have major implications going forward.

I'm a big WSB fan on reddit. This has been a longtime coming and took a lot of planning. Playing the hedge funds at their own game.

Bit of both. Worth checking out WSB on reddit.

Allegedly someone on there put $50k in (all of his savings) and now sitting on $15M allegedly...

sadly retail trade platforms are restricting trade on Gamestop and AMC, so reducing the buying.

see how that plays out, they move on to the next and that gets restricted? then they chose a specific target to have it restricted...?

Leeds - but not the dirty bit
Okay, I understand the principle of short selling, I understand the strategy to stop the hedge funds.

What I don’t know is, how long do the hedge funds ‘borrow shares for, is there a time limit to when they have to be returned to their original owner, or can they be kept until all losses are cut.
And what kind of a percentage is paid to the original share owner to ‘borrow’ the shares?

Short selling my take. Selling something you don't own.

Not sure who in the hell lends them stock in the knowledge that they are going to try to devalue it. Oh yes certainly borrow my car I don't mind if you replace it with one of lesser value next week. My A*se
