My favourite memory from that programme. Stuart Hall asked a question of Sir Tom Finney, " Who is this famous african player? " Sir Tom thought about it for a minute and said " pik a nini" Now some of the younger people on here wont realise what that means, but at the time it was phrase similar to coon or blackie and again due to the innocense of the time no-one picked it up!

I seemed to remember you had a set of questions to get you across the board towards your opponents goal and you could chip into a run with a "tackle" question. It confirmed the often thought stereotype that footballers in them days were thick as planks!

I seemed to remember you had a set of questions to get you across the board towards your opponents goal and you could chip into a run with a "tackle" question. It confirmed the often thought stereotype that footballers in them days were thick as planks!

You could either have four easy questions (and they were very easy) or go route 1 with one harder question (although they weren't very hard).

Footballers often struggled with the easy ones - although I remember Ian Ure being a bit of a whizz.
