Started following Posh in '73 a championship winning season in Div 4, followed by three great years chasing promotion from Div 3.

Posh comfortably won more games than they lost and scored loads of goals - until 6th March 1976. I couldn't believe the scoreline as it typed up slowly on Grandstand's printer....

Brighton 5 Peterborough 0

My team had never been beaten so heavily (in my time), my heros were vulnerable after all, scarred me for weeks you fuckers.

Hereford has to be the big one, I sometimes what would have happened if we had lost that game, what would have happened. GIves me the shivers just thinking abut it.

Notts County Play off final
York City (h) 95/96 The game that lasted 16 minutes.
Mansfield (h) 96/97 The game everyone boycotted.
Darlington (h) 96/97 Jimmy Case's last game in charge.
Hull City (h) 96/97 Steve Gritts first game in charge.
Doncaster (h) 96/97 The last ever game at the Goldstone :nono:
Hereford (a) 96/97 Robbie Reinelt
Plymouth (a) 00/01 Promotion from Divison 3
Swindon (h) 01/02 Division 2 Champions

That game 26/10/02 the most humiliating day of my life!

Ha ha ha, I was at that game !!!!! Only my second Albion game too.

Sat in the West Stand, only thing I can remember is every time we scored turning round to see this Posh fan ( you could tell by the Peterborough Utd holdall ) looking more and more depressed.

That's one of mine too as it was Mrs Pasty's first ever Albion game.

First ever Albion game. Turned me into an Albion fan having been an armchair Spurs fan since I was 11, and no it doesn't make me feel better about BZ leaving:(

Has to be Hartlepool 5-0 if only because I got so pissed I fell down 3 flights of stairs and spent the night in hospital. Changed my life because I still have the scar!

1986. World Cup Quarter Final, Argentina 2 - 1 England. I was only 7 years old but I remember this game well. It made quite an impression on me, that's when I started to hate those cheating bastards.

17/07/1994. World Cup Final. Brazil 0 - 0 Italy. Seeing Roberto Baggio miss that penalty and hand Brazil the World Cup was heartbreaking. Baggio was the player of the tournament and single handedly took an average Italian team to the final. It was a shame that it ended that way.

A couple of recent matches involving the Albion that had an impact on me at the time. Notably an appallingly depressing week in October 2002...

19/10/02. Division One. Brighton 2 - 4 Sheffield United. I thought we would do well with Coppell in charge for the first time. After blowing a 2-0 lead at half time, I thought there was no hope for us in Division One. And that we'd emulate Stockport's laughable record the season before.

26/10/02. Division One. Crystal Palce 5 - 0 Brighton. I had a dreadful weekend, I went to a party that was very depressing and the chick I went with was annoying the crap out of me. Losing to the Scum in such a dreadful fashion capped off a horrible week. Work was dull, social life was bad, and supporting the Albion was not only frustrating but now humiliating. I was ready to find a bridge to jump off...

Hereford, '97. You only have to read the 'half time at Hereford' thread to undertand what we were all going through that day. I sincerely hope that I never, ever have to feel like that at a football match, or in any other context, ever again.

On the other hand, if you could bottle the atmosphere and relief after the whistle went, you'd make a fortune. :drink:
