In this article in the Daily Mail (yes I know) there could be a few clues, they mention Wanderers in the headline (possible clue to the club he plays for), at the bottom of the article they have a Love Rat XI, this player is there as centre foward. If they are clues as to who he is I think it's fairly obvious.

I think the wives and their families do although most people don't give a toss. It's accepted that a lot of footballers have their brains in their pants (close to their arseholes quite often) and that plenty of women want screw them just to make money from a tabloid story.
