Not sure about that.

We are three points (plus GD) ahead. If Fulham win, a draw leaves us 4 ahead, and Cardiff needing two wins (Palace H, United A) to pip us (assuming a max 1 point from our last two). It wouldn't be the worst result in that scenario in that it cancels any potential Cardiff draw at United, but it doesn't put the season to bed. A WIN (if Fulham have won) and it is all over - surely THAT is what we 'need'?
You're interpreting 'need' as what we need to be sure of survival, whereas I was thinking of what we need to give us a great chance of survival.

I'd take a point, because if Cardiff lose to Fulham, they're unlikely to then go and win their next two games.

I'd love to go to Arsenal knowing that except for an absolute miracle on GD, we are safe. I could enjoy my walk through Chapel market and few drinks there en route. Please god let it be.

Not Lewes
Amazingly it’s still in our hands. Win against Newcastle and that will almost certainly be enough.
But therein lies the problem. We don’t even look like scoring never mind winning.
At the risk of stating the obvious, our survival WILL depend on Cardiff’s results, not ours!

You've been a fan way to long for such 'walk in the park' optimism..... This is the Albion, we never do it the easy way.

If Cardiff win it will also have an effect on the mood ..... ???

More importantly perhaps, I wonder about the effect it would have on the team?

Would they react in a more positive way to a Cardiff win, or a Cardiff loss?
I genuinely can't decide how I feel about that?

The result of that game should be kept
from the team it’s vital they don’t know what it is
They could go to pieces if it should go against us
Everyone must join in with this
Remember the likely lads?:clap2:
