I have often wondered why people totally remove their pubic hair.I can understand in cases such as child birth it certainly has it's benifits or in the case of medical operations.I also realise it is prevalent within certain cultures,but it seems more and more popular in todays society.Is it for sexual reasons such as a fixation with prepubescent sex,the porn star thing,a freedom of expression or because our Girlfriend/Boyfriend wanted us to.
In certain parts of Siberia copious pubic hair is considered a monstrous growth,attributable to evil spirits and legitimate grounds for a husband to divorce his wife.On the otherhand the Aru Islanders of Eastern Indonesia have worn female pubic hair in amulets around their necks to ward off evil spirits.
