I am going for Moder to be a star and Goodnight to come of age. I’d love to see Dahoud come good too.

Really impressed with Moder yesterday, especially his attacking intent passes

What are your choices, throw in any you think might disappoint if you like, I can’t think of any, I like all our players and believe in them too.

Has there been talk of Dahoud being resurrected cos we now have a German manager? Fantastic if so but I'm not convinced it was RDZ who moved him out so a bit sceptical

The youngsters will all progress this season, but Enciso will be the stand out. All the other youngsters you'd expect to kick on too (Ferguson, Buonanotte, Barco)

I also kind of agree on Moder. I've said it before that I can absolutely see him playing deeper. If it is likely to be a 3 in defence, I can see him being the libero style player who steps into the midfield and attacking positions as needed. He's tall, not short of pace and technically capable. The only doubt was is in his aggression and decision-making (which seems to have improved more recently) and defensive technique. He has all the attributes to be a top class Centre Back.

It was RDZ that froze Dahoud out of the matchday squad completely, so I think we can be confident that he was loaned out due to him.

I would not class Moder as a fringe player though.

He would not have got a look in on his return from injury if we didn’t have so many players out imo, so yes I’d say he was a fringe player last season. Hell, half the NSC fanbase wanted him shipped out when he didn’t look world class instantly after nearly two years out

Shame we didn’t ship Ferguson out on a championship loan - it would have been so good for his development. As it is he will probably return injury free but out of sorts and we’ll have to rely on him picking up the pace. Shame too he got a bit overhyped before he had a chance to settle into his profession and got injured at a bad time.

On Dahoud, possibly, but I always felt he didn't deliver for / with Dunky and apart from a one-off decent-ish game in the summer tour in the USA he never seemed to have the hoped for impact, so I think RDZ was instrumental in him being out of the squad.

Agree with you about Enciso, Ferguson, Buonanotte and Barco but I’d add Hinsh to this.

I disagree about Moder though.

Looking a transfermarkt stats, he has played about 90mins at defensive midfield since he has been at the club. None at centre back.

Potter and RDZ can’t be both be wrong. He might look like a defensive player physically and have some of the physical attributes needed but our two best managers of all time did not see enough evidence to play him in a defensive role for more than a game combined.

I believe that he is an attacking midfielder or one that can play on the flanks in more of a playermaker style than a winger style. But his lack of assists and goals in this role surely makes him an outsider to make it his own under Hürzeler seeing as the German had a player scoring 17 and assisting 13 in that role for him last season.

Hinshelwood has a goal every 291 minutes in the Premier League. Moder has player over 2,900 minutes and is yet to score. He is a popular Pole with the fanbase but his stats are underwhelming.
