I was forced to watch this by my Mrs once as she likes it. Spent the whole half hour with a straight face. It wouldn't annoy me so much if it wasn't ALWAYS on. It seems to be on morning, noon and night and on at least half a dozen channels.

PLEASE STOP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not my favourite by any means but I have to say I think its been consistently funny for years. Well written and acted, it's always good for a laugh. I do hate drippy Ross though.

Did absolutely nothing for me, watched it once and found it about as entertaining as having a boil on your arse lanced, not that I have ever had that done but I think it conveys my point.

The only American comedy series I ever found funny were Seinfeld and the Fresh Prince of Bel Air, the former had some excellent characters and the latter for the witty one liners between Will and his uncle Phil, not to mention the very British one liners from the camp butler.

We did this last week. Basicially Simster, myself and a few others thought it was over-rated drivel that was vaguely amusing for one series but had gone on far too long. The more easily amused amongst us thought it was ok.

i BLOODY LOVE friends.

i am sure there was a thread about this last week where i went on about why i liked it, so won't bither again.

ah, found it, this is what i said last time:

'I am going to stick up for it.

I reckon I have watched pretty much every epsiode of Friends, I absolutely LOVE it. I don't care if it is for girls, I think it is great.
It has good characters, consistently makes me laugh and I am genuinely dissapointed that it has finished.
I have enjoyed most series though I think the ones with Emily (Helen Baxendale) were the weakest. I think the current series has had some of the funniest episodes of the lot in it. That fake tan one was very funny. Possibly series 3 was the best but I could not be sure.

The only thing I would criticise about it is that every series they do one epsiode which is told in 'flashbacks' and, basically, is just a load of clips from previous series' episodes with a couple of quick scenes linking them. They are a bit crap and I was always dissapointed when I tuned in to find it was the flashback episode.

I am looking forward to the 'Joey' spin off. He is, easily, the best character anyway and someone told me it is going to be written by the Friends writers so I reckon it will be good.

Heard on the radio today that there have been something like 250 epsiodes made. To keep coming up with a story for each episode for that long is, I think, incredible.

I don't care if you all think I am QUEER, I will miss it.'

TRIGGER, you can't say anything about Friends, cos you have never watched an episode. ( much in the same way i can't say anything about Blackadder, having never seen an epsiode)

i don't mind the laughing but I HATE the cheering whenever a famous guest star makes there entrance and the even more manic cheering when something serious happens (latest example i can think of is when chandler and monica found out they had got an adopted baby) (another time was when Ross and Rahcel kissed of the first time). It is sickeningly cheesy!
