Players who should (or maybe did) play for certain clubs on the basis of their names. Like, there was a player called Tom Brighton once I believe, no idea if he's still playing.

For starters:

John de Wolf or Ricky van Wolfswinkel (Wolves)

Ruben de la Red (Liverpool)

Chris Eagles (Palace)

Stefan Küntz (Palace)

Not nearly as funny as Gash (see above) but I guess Ian Goodison would have been a big shirt-seller if he'd played for Everton, & likewise Ricky Villa at....er...Villa.

And Alan Sunderland.
