Free ticket for Eric Morecambe play in Worthing tonight

Bit of a long shot, but does anyone fancy seeing the one-man play 'Morecambe' (about comedian Eric) at Worthing Pavilion Theatre at 7.30 tonight? It's recently finished a run in the West End and won this year's Olivier Award.

I'm going with a few mates (we know the actor and director) but one person's just dropped out and it's proving too short notice to find someone else for the spare ticket.

So... front row ticket going free (face value £18) to any internet random who wants it.

Saw this in its run on West End. It's a really fantastic show if you have any affection at all for Morecambe and Wise. The guy playing him is so good in catching his mannerisms, whilst not resorting to a simple 'impression'. It takes a while to get into it, but once you are it is so well done, and the inevitable inclusions of "Positive Thinking" and "Bring Me Sunshine" will bring a tear to the eye

On a side note, did anyone ever see that Morecambe and Wise tribute show The Play What I Wrote which was going on a few years ago - it could well be the best thing I've ever seen!

The guy playing him is so good in catching his mannerisms, whilst not resorting to a simple 'impression'.

I've known the actor, Bob Golding, for a while (he mostly does voices for kids TV and has worked for me for 10 years or so). He's always breaking into Morecambe impressions in the pub afterwards, so it's perfect casting! The guy who wrote it (another kids TV voice artist) wrote it specially for him, and is currently writing a Leonard Rossitter one for yet another kids TV voice artist!

I offered to take the Mrs to see this as she is a big fan of Morcambe and Wise but she thought it would be shit

Snap up these tickets - saw the play in Tunbridge Wells - it was fantastic.
