Not for freeview though which, whilst understandable, is fecking annoying. Incidentally I got a flyer from top up tv saying the sky sports prices have gone down (always gonna happen) but not by much SS1 on it's own is now £20 per month as opposed to £23. Not sure what the new price is for SS1 and 2 ? Sky have also moved a lot of the live football around for ex most lg 1 games are on SS3 or SS4 - BASTARDS. I hate everything SKY stands for...

You hate excellent cricket and rugby coverage, and the Ashes in HD?

Indeed, a strange view. I know many people dislike it but, without Sky, there would be almost no live football, tennis, cricket and golf, and I think they do it pretty well. I realise people want everything without having to pay for it, but it's a business and they have a product. It also means we have the (self proclaimed and debateable ) "best league in the world".

Sky Sports is a gift to humanity, and I will not hear a WORD against it.

What do they stand for?
Swear they are sports channel who supply some top rate production on football and other sports.

Pissed off about the free day though, does that mean I get a rebate of a day's money on my subscription?

Erm how the hell am I saying that? I hate the fact it is a rip off for one and horribly over-priced. Plus the fact that it's half the problem there's a massive divide in football with how much money they pump into prem games. Simples. Nothing to do with the sports they supply - I appreciate that - just a shame i can't afford it and even if i could i'd still hate what the company stands for.

What nonsense.

Exactly. Utter bollox. Without sky there would be a hell of a lot more free to air football, actually.

Eh? There was regular live football before Sky. As for cricket, every home test match and ODI was covered in full, there was regular Sunday league cricket and a big NatWest cup game. We could see Masters, the Open, World Matchplay and Ryder Cup golf too. I'm sure there was lots of tennis on but as that's about as interesting as creosoting a fence I didn't really pay any attention.

The cricket thing is a joke - which made Keaton's silly take on what i was saying even more stupid. The same cricket that was ALWAYS on free to air tv for YEARS (home tests) that Sky nicked cos they've got more money etc etc.. Ah yes that cricket!

Agree with the anti Sky people here.

Come on people, get a grip. You start threads about Stephen Ireland saying ''this is what is wrong with premiership football" - open your eyes, it is because YOU pay for it!

There was a lot of live sport before Sky opened their channel. Or is that 2 channels? 3? 4? HOW MUCH SPORT CAN YOU WATCH!

As people become more attatched to televisions, the BBC and ITV would have inevitably upped their coverage of all sports anyway. Brighton game saturday, a few midweek games, maybe a sunday game. Tennis on the BBC. Channel 4/5 covering the cricket.

If nobody signed up to it, we'd get it for free.

I Must say Sheebo.
I agree with almost everything you say.Good points mate.
The best feeling going is getting up at 11pm to watch the ashes, but because of sky sports (which gives very good coverage) I am no longer able to afford. But I shall still be watching! Where there's a will there's a way Lol.

I agree. And without a doubt cricket has become less popular since it was moved to sky 100%. Even i don't follow it as i used to really...

You can get free streaming so i watched that last time out. I'm sure skys coverage is good as others have pointed out but that isn't the point. I believe the ashes in England is going back on the protected list so it has to be on free tele (tho that's not till 2018 or something laughable like that) but that's once every 4 yrs isn't it - still not good enough.
