I have just had one of those bizarre Twilight Zone moments in life.

Back in September I went up to Twickenham for some egg-chasing double header thing (got the tickets free & you can drink alcohol in your seat, what's not to like?). Before the game I was mucking around with the giant rugby players statue outside the front of the stadium, and a few photos were taken by one of the guys I went up with.

I'm staying up in Oxfordshire this week for work, and found myself roped into a pub quiz...well it passes the time doesn't it? A question popped up about a famous quote & someone said it was written on the statue at Twickenham, at which point I remembered I still had the photo on my phone. So I show it to the guy sat next to me on the 10 man quiz team, who lives & works 150 miles away from me, and who I met just two days ago....and he stares at the picture for a second before pointing out that he's standing right behind me in the photo.

At risk of sounding like HB&B, I just wanted to share that moment of random life- trivia with you all :p Seriously, how WEIRD is that? What are the odds?

You know when I told you you were the best poster on NSC.....

In all seriousness this is a genuinely interesting post, but it still has elements of the ramblings of a Nan about it.

I had a strange one in Lodon with my ex-girlfriend some years back. We went up there for her birthday with absolutely no plan, just to wander about, have a couple of beers and lunch then have more beers and dinner. We went to the Little Frankie's near Trafalgar Square and sat next to a really loud Dutch family decked out, suitably, in orange.

We finished our lunch at about 2pm and went for a wander. We walked all around central London before finally deciding to head to Chinatown. Again, we had no idea where to eat (so many restaurants) so we just picked one that looked moderately busy but not rammed and got a table.

About half way through our meal, who should not only be in Chinatown, not only come into the restaurant we were in but also be placed right next to us but the Dutch family.

We sat there open-mouthed - we had no plan to eat eithe rthere or the place we had earlier, we had no plan to eat in Chinatown and we had no plan to necessarily still be in London in the evening and yet out of probably 10 million people in London at that time they had managed to sit next to us twice in consecutive meals - and eventually they clocked us staring. I pointed out that it was pretty much a miraculous occurance. Their response? The woman simply shrugged her shoulders and muttered: "Hmm, small chance." before getting abck to her food.

Small chance? I should bloody say so.
