According to NSC half our squad (or former squad) and coaches are going to Port Vale

Next there will be fans going to Port Vale as well. I can think of a few who are too shit to be Brighton fans, perhaps they will follow MA to Burslem

Bloody he'll. How about a bit of humility? Or balance? Isn't it tiring being so strident? I hope ur not like this in real life. But why then come on here and be so damn mean?

So if you got fired for being bad at a job you'd think it's ok to go around slagging us off? He's suppose to be a fan.

You couldn't make it up. Wait - yes you could, and you do.
He wasn't "bad at a job", at our level and with our squad he was in the first team most of the time under Slade's management. RS was not going to play him if he was "bad at a job".

Really, it's long past time some of you lot resisted the odd 'need' to curl your lip at passionate players and servants for this club.
Tommy Fraser is indeed entitled to feel a little peeved that the one club he supports and was integral in keeping up in this division, is the one he isn't allowed to work for any more. I'm sure he feels very sad, very hurt.

I hope he does take some of the blame for it on board, if it's true that he mixed a drinking habit with profession. He's a young lad and perhaps can put this down to experience.

Good luck to him, perhaps he will get another chance here, maybe as an improved player and man. I hope so.

Agreed. I think we established a week or two back that rightly or wrongly players do read NSC. Whilst nothing we do or say here should matter it can have an effect. The kind of childish, ill considered and remorseless spite from certain posters seen earlier in this thread is so unconstructive. Get a bit of perspective. You may not think he was any good, and he didn't get his contract renewed (which points the Albion's ambition more than his skill set) but it's about opinion. Calm down a bit and you'll get taken a little more seriously, maybe.

First of all maybe he didn't think he was doing a bad job and judging by many comments on this thread alone neither do a lot of fans. Apart from that would you say nice things about anybody who fired you ?

As of last Monday I know he'd been approached by two clubs and Port Vale wasn't one of them. Mind you that was obvously before Adams took over up there.

He certainly was not shit and is there any need to stab the guy that gave Albion his all while wearing the stripes, your pathetic and childish.

Top marks to all those standing up for Fraser. I'll always be thankful for the role he played in keeping us up.

Give me a Fraser everytime if the choice is him or some of the Championship players we had here on loan last season. I'd like to have seen him given another year as I think he did ok when he got a run. Nowhere near the finished article and the vitriol directed at him is out of order imo. That's NSC for you, brilliant or shit, nothing in the middle.

Not sure that Adams was a big fan though was he?

Was he fired? Or did his contract run out? FFS, some people just use words, phrases and intenation to garner effect and attract attention. Get a grip.

Then f*** off.

Good luck to the lad.
He will get himself signed up and should do ok as long as (if the tales of clubbing it a little too enthusiastically are true) he stays as focussed off the pitch as on it.
I was always really impressed with his effort and committment and if he wasn't the most naturally skilled player in the world he was always a battler and never gave less than his all for the whole 90 minutes.....how many with more talent do you wish you could say that about?
Was he worth keeping? Probably at any other time he would have got another year but RS needed to clear the decks to build a new team and he was one of those whose contract happened to be up. That's a financial decision more than anything else and there is a good case for saying he was just unlucky.
Like Sullivan and possibly Hinshelwood, some of the decisions may prove borderline in purely footballing terms and could come back to haunt us in years to come but that happens about decisions made in all walks of life and in the meantime we need to move on with our own business without unnecessarily damning those who contributed in the past.

Indeed. And actually, given the choice of Robbie Savage or Tommy Fraser I'd say the latter was of more use to us than the former.

And you're supposed to be a fan too.

With your intellect, attitude and approach to life I'm sure it won't be too long before you find yourself fired from a job (once you manage to get one). I wonder how you'll react?

I was going to add something charming and witty in defence of Tommy Fraser who, for me, at times was our best or at least most vigilant player and who showed flashes of the player I think he could eventually become.

But I can't think of anything charming and witty, so I'll just stick with the point that I sometimes envy the position of Flavor Flav, who evidently isn't held down by the tiresome burden of having to think before he posts. Lucky lad.

Oh do shut up you utter muppet.

The bloke always gave 100%, was actually an ok player if not brilliant, and who cares if he slagged us off to somebody at cricket? You can hardly blame him, and yes I would moan if Id just been sacked after playing a pivotal role in keeping the club in the division against all the odds.

Good luck to him and I think he is easily good enough for this division.

I hope Tommy Fraser gets another chance with another club.

I even hope Kerry Mayo gets 'invited to train' with Port Vale.

Having been out of work for near on six months I wouldn't wish being out of work on anybody. Even gingers.

Same old , Same old ,so called fans slagging off players just for the sake of it?
Seems to be coming a tiresome trend amongst Albion `fans' which can only be a major hindrance to the club.I know people who are reluctant to go to matches because of the mindless attitudes of these people, they dont want to hear it! As for Fraser, he was a comitted player for us and there wasn`t too many last season.I think he was worthy of another year, hope he does well somewhere else.(not Palace).
