For those, like me, who enjoyed Frank Skinner’s radio show/podcast on Absolute, today he’s launched his new podcast.

Same team back; Frank, Emily, and Pierre.

Very happy to have him back.

Any idea why Absolute Radio dropped him? I know he’s not everyone’s cup of tea and I find Emily grating from time to time, but I always thought that show was Absolute’s best offering.

Quite possibly. I’d have guessed cost-cutting because I don’t think they’ve replaced him with another ‘name’ as such.

It’s a cutthroat world, I remember Nicky Keig-Shevlin, an excellent presenter, both on air and for all her charity work, getting told on the Wednesday, that after a decade of excellent ratings, Friday would be her last show.

At least she got the chance to say goodbye

But everything happens for a reason and her and good Old Bob Booker couldn’t be happier

I think Jon Richardson has just started a show in the same slot. I don't think he'd be much cheaper.
