Not at all. We are on a football discussion website though... And he's not exactly a small name player. I was genuinely surprised that in the 21st century, with such a wealth of knowledge at our finger tips and with a constant stream of football everywhere, that a person could be on a football discussion forum and not have heard of a player of that stature.

At tournaments, Rooney isn't very effective, just two goals since Euro 2004. A first choice striker should be bagging more than that.

To be fair, he's 29, been at PSG for 5 years, and played and scored at the last world cup.

He's rated as one of the best midfielders in Europe, and Chelsea and Man Utd tried to sign him last summer for £35m
