Well he lives in Lingfield and they have £s to spend. Richard Carpenter was still playing last year and at a higher level than that.

Lingfield had Ian Pearce, the ex-Blackburn and West Ham defender, playing for them a couple of years ago. I've got relatives in Lingfield; seems a nice place, only one small independent bookie which considering they've got a good racetrack seems a bit of a mystery.

Actually I believe he lives just up the road in Blindley Heath, but makes sense he'd turn out for Lingfield who, despite being in Surrey, play in the Sussex Counties league, as do neighbouring Dormansland Rockets.
