GRAND PRIX Arrives back in Europe this week end With Brawn leading the way what will the others have lined up for this first Grand-prix in spain.

Friday in Spain could be the most important day yet of the 2009 season, as the European leg of the season kicks off. Most of the teams will be trying out heavily revised aerodynamic packages for the first time on track, thanks to the ban on testing since the series began in Australia back in March.

At Brawn, Jenson Button and Rubens Barrichello will be desperate to know whether a significant update of their BGP001 - the first in a season that has seen them dominant - will keep them at the head of the field...

Whilst it will be interesting to see how the modifications that each team have pan out the Spanish GP is notoriously dull. Still it'll down the pub to watch with a few beers so I can't complain.

Am hoping this is a sign that BMW's updates to the car have worked, as I am clinging on to the fading hope of Kubica winning the title this year

More chance of a Force India winning the British Grand Prix then Kubica winning the title this year.

I've had some wonderful betting experiences recently (especially the 1/2 on Northampton to be relegated offered by some mug on betfair AFTER we were 1-0 up, they were 2-0 down and Carlisle were home and dry) but my 8-1 on Kubica winning the title certainly isn't one of them.

Anyone read Jake Humphreys blog last week on the beeb F1 website? No F1 so all about his support of Norwich City. A very good read.

That is what makes Betfair so good. Will always be some idiot who has misread the scores etc.

Don't worry, Kubica will come good as soon as BMW sort their car out. Hopefully they've got the neccessary upgrades now they're back in Europe.

I'm sure Kubica will improve but nowhere near enough to challenge for the title. 65-1 on betfair now if you think otherwise.

Tempted to lay Button at 2.86. The other teams will catch the Brawns sooner or later and they haven't got the resources to continue at pace with development. I'm pretty sure that his odds will lenghthen sooner or later and he is artificially low as he is British.

Big advantage that Button does have is that there is no longer testing permitted between races so however big the McClaren and Ferrari budgets they can only test during race practice. As we can see already that is making closing the gap much more difficult than it would have been in previous years. Great for Formula 1 imo

My tip to come good soon though are Alonso and Hamilton, two drivers who will ring the best out of a poor car.
