I think the central midfield is alright, El-Abd is good defensively and plays the simple ball, and I though Hammond was excellent again today. The problem is the strikers have gone off the boil and the defence are playing like idiots.

Big problem and I would have thought it would have been better to have Hart up front when he came on.

If you play 3 up front from the off not much room to change later except negatively providing you can get ahead.

Defence is awful - when will Wilkins Mayo is bloody hopeless at set pieces ?

I have to say that was an odd one, why change your rightback? I would've brought Harty on about 20 minutes earlier for Revell or Gatting and put Jakey through the middle.

After reading some of the drivel on here this evening I've just gone back to check that we didn't lose 8-0. Why is it that when we win we're all set to go into Europe, but when we lose it's Conference time? Look at the facts: Carlisle scored from two rebounds that could have gone anywhere, we scored the only decent goal of the game. Their rebound off the crossbar lands neatly at the feet of their player, ours bounces away nice and safe. Our penalty shout ends up in a yellow card against us (and from where I sit in D block it was a pen), their defender plays basketball and nothing's given. But it happens. It doesn't make us shit, and if all those go the other way it doesn't line us up for the Premiership. Is there no room for just a little perspective?

Yep agreed. We were marginally the better of two okay sides today. Different day we would have won that game. A draw would probably have been a fair result though.
