That is how I remember it too. Lawrenson was absolutely exhausted at the end and could hardly manage to walk off the pitch.

Yeah, I remember the pictures now. He was shattered. Great effort by the whole team. That result transformed our season.

On the back of a no win eight match run (seems familiar). Won six, drew three and lost one following. Shot in the arm.

I was there with a mate, absolutely hilarious time in the middle of the Albion supporters behind one of the goals. We were right next to the Forest fans with an enforced gap manned by Police between us. At one point a Forest fan with buck teeth started yelling abuse at us only to be greeted with several chorus's of "Does your dentist know you're here". If I remember right it was also Tony Woodcocks last game for Forest as he'd got a million pound transfer to some club abroad, can't remember which club it was. I think it was also Peter Suddabys first game for us, but what a great day out beating the mighty unbeaten Forest.

Just done a check on Soccerbase. The answer is they were 51 home league games undefeated going in to that match.

All games is 0 as they lost to Southampton away the previous week. All competitions at home also not that high as they lost at home to Arsenal in the fifth round of the FA Cup the previous season.

Gerry's error might be related to the fact that Millwall had set a record of 59 successive home unbeaten league matches (which ended in 1966, I think) - in the first Albion home programme after the Forest victory (v Derby on Dec 1 1979) they referenced a Millwall supporter who had written to the club to thank Albion for preserving Millwall's record!:-

I’ve got vague memories of being in the corner terrace, can’t see it erupt when we score in that YouTube video.
Also remember Shilton getting plenty of stick about an affair he had , was it Tina? Or was that another game or am I going slightly mad
