I've been saying: play Gary Hart as an out and out striker (as he did in his first few season with the club), and not as a right winger. Although a great crosser of the ball, (and can do a job) he's not a proper winger.

And guess what... Slade plays him upfront and we start winning...

The simple conclusion I draw from this: Slade is a genius! well errrmmm rather a manager who "understands" the value of listening to his players and getting to know his squad on a personal level and, where injuries etc. allow, playing the lads where they actually "prefer" to play... I hope we keep him on, I really do.

Gary Hart is our Marcelo Salas, and long may his run in the team continue.

And so say all of us.

Sounds like he totally ROCKED it up! Legendary!

I remember seeing Harts first ever goal (i think) away at Scarborough, many many moons ago.

He dribbled round about four defenders and stuck the ball away, and I knew there and then that a legend had been born...

Gary Hart will save our season.

It is how it must be, it is his destiny.

He had an immense game. Def MOM. Thought I'd never again hear the Brighton fans singing "Gary Hart, oh Gary Gary Gary Hart". Great stuff.

Salas - Stocky, powerful, tricky and really difficult to play against.

Hart - (As above.)

You should be aware though, I do like indulging in my hobby of ridiculous comparisons.

i.e. Owusu is our Jairzinho etc.

As for Salas; he's still only 32 (ish) and I think he's back playing in South America somewhere.

He's no Gary Hart though, let's be honest.

32 and in the doldrums of South American footy  He was wicked at Lazio back in the day, I remember him ruining Michael Owen's England debut.
