Bloom did well for himself selling off GoodBean Coffee Shops.

Perhaps a bar should be named after Liam Brady in the new ground.

The Brady Bar

That's probably going a bit far, but we could name the club COCONUTS after him, and call them the Brady Bunch.

When I read the title of this thread I thought it was going to be about public toilets...

*ahem*

And I thought it was a breakaway thread from 'Homophobia in Football'...

What hope is there for young supporters? Even our Chairman's grandkids are Gooners! They must be illegitimate, or Knight has a terrible family.

It is easy to forget the part that Liam Brady played in getting rid of the scum who used to run our club. I hope he takes the time to visit us at Falmer when it opens, I'm sure he'd get a good reception.
"There's only one Liam Brady" ringing round Falmer in our first ever Premiership match against Arsenal in 2010.

Did Ray Bloom really reassure the fans reps? How is that possible? I thought he was one of the old guard that quit out of principle.

To be fair to Ray Bloom, he may have been as fooled by Archer as we all were in the early days. His family after all had a very long standing association with the Albion and it's possible that, even when things were obviously turning to turds, Ray felt a duty (to his old mans efforts) in the past to remain associated with the ailing club no matter what was going on.

It's also possible that Ray was simply upbeat and chipper (at the meeting I was recounting) out of a forlorn hope that Archer was still genuine and that Bellotti was simply a poor orator and piss poor implementer of policy and change. That was the way Archer tried to play it in front of us when he himself was present.

Ray Bloom may have clutched at the same straw we did, only it turned out to be a nettle. Certainly at the meeting in question (attended by numerous fans reps) Archer and Bellotti treated the upbeat Bloom with utter disdain once he'd left the room. They hardly gave the air that he was one of them.

Still fair to say that he was a fool to hang around (especially once the supporters reps signed a statement saying we were breaking off negotiations with Archer/Bellotti).

Bearing in mind Irish are getting the hump on the thread about the GB Team, probably best not to say that Brady came from the British Isles, you will only set the super cyber geek off on a rant about the Emerald Isle not being the British Isle, then the other know it all will chuck facts in and it will get generally a bit too much.

Sorry to be pedantic, but Ireland is part of the British Isles, but not part of GB or the UK.

Only on NSC could a thread that starts off discussing how DK saved the club ends up with a geography lesson:bowdown:
