In light of Evan Warren's sudden passing, I thought it might be fitting if we had a thread dedicated to all those fans who have passed away since our last game at the Goldstone and so sadly will never get to see our new home.

A grandparent, perhaps. Or maybe a mother, a father, a brother or a sister. Or simply a friend.

Perhaps, if appropriate, it could be forwarded to the Club in due course, so that the names could be listed in the inaugral Falmer matchday programme? (Should the Club agree).

Anyway, let me start:

Evan Warren (aka Defrocked Priest), 1964 -2011.

Didn't know Evan, but always enjoyed his contributions on here. Died far too young.

Andy Rimmer (1970 -2003) - Big Albion and Sussex fan. Ex-Lancing and Mowden boy. Sadly taken from us, in Sydney, during a storm when a tree crashed into the car he was travelling in - they had missed the correct turning and were in the process of turning round. Best student teacher I ever had - I even called him Dad once, by mistake.

Martin Leaney 1914-1998 my Grandad and the person who took me to many games when I was a kid. Sadly left us when Brighton were still in exile in Gillingham but I know he would have loved being at Falmer. Got my Dad a memorial stone with my Grandads name on it so a little bit of him will always be at Falmer.

Leonard Sullivan 1920 - 1998

My dad.

Took me to my first game in 1970.

I believe he was secretary of the supporters club in the late 50s early 60s (i.e. before I was born).

Sadly never understood that we had left The Goldstone and his football memories were always stuck in the 1960's when we enjoyed many many games together home and away

My mum and Dad who are reunited together a stones throw away at Woodingdean cemetery. My dear dad introduced me to The Albion and I'm sure he will be watching from above with his colours on...My mum, as they are buried together will no doubt welcome the afternoon off from him as she always did. It's thoughts like this that bring the smiles back

I think this is a great idea, Bry Nylon, to forward this thread at some point to the Club.

When my brother walked out of the last game at the Goldstone against Doncaster Rovers when he was 28, I doubt that he thought he wouldn't be around for the first game at our new our home.

Eddie the Seagull - always loved and remembered. X
