I don't understand why they can't move the rugby. Who cares about rugby FFS?

The rugby is also a playoff match, I believe, but the date was finalised some time ago. My guess is that if there had been a playoff date confirmed for Forest before the rugby date had been settled, it would have been the rugby that Notts police insisted on moving.

What I don't really understand is why they can't handle the policing for both -- there's never any trouble at this kind of rugby match (plus I doubt that Forest-Brighton would be particularly nawty), and the two stadia are very close to each other making it easy to shift large numbers of police from one to the other quickly if required. Granted that there'd be traffic and transport congestion, but probably nothing worse than most match days at the Amex

Just checked and their last home game had an attendance of 1,469. Their biggest home crowd has been 2,516. Must take loads of policing that.

Thanks Supaseagull. We've got 107 teams over the 4 sessions - we 'sold out' in less than 5 weeks. Hope you have received the parking instructions, vouchers and other bits. Really looking forward to it, BHAFC are very kindly providing hiviz jackets & walkietalkies (another reason why we must have the w/e free of PO matches!).
Going to be a great 4 days of football.... I hope!
