Bit annoying eh! The full revenge was definitely on today... in the end they did the professional job to see it home, but i was dreaming....

Will settle for 4 lol :p
Still not over that day! Never been back since. Really wanted us to get five nil, wasn't to be but ain’t complaining because I didn’t even want to be there today was so convinced we’d lose. A famous win, well done boys!!! Did us proud.

I have noticed recently thar the beeb website often refers to 4-1 wins as "thrashings". So there you go, I think it should be a 5 goal difference but who am I to argue.

Twas 2002, and was there when Andy Johnson ran Riot.

We took foot off gas a little second half, coulda been more, but settle for 4! After a scintillating first half, where we simply blew them away.

"You're f***ing shit"

"Roy Hodgson, we want you to stay"

They've been unbelievably flukey in previous games, they were due a spanking and glad to witness it today.

Yep, return still feels too soon. Was so hoping for a 5. Seem to remember your mobile phone exploding on the wall as you left?

Funny as I was thinking the exact same and I was there that day. Maybe next time 🔵⚪

We took our foot off their throat in the second half unfortunately.

I wasn't expecting it, so the score was a massive bonus.

Dunky's celebrations with the away end were legendary.

We can now erase that memory forever, let's hope they can have it lodged firmly in their heads for years.

From the BBS:

Just got home after the worst experience I've ever had following Palace. Team were clueless for most of the match as Brighton ran rings around us, and frankly I can't disagree with their fans when they sang "your support is f**king s**t" We just weren't up for it on or off the pitch today...

What goes around comes back around. Not my words, the words of Justin Timberlake:

one of my worse away days EVER that day. I vowed I'd never go to Selhurst again after that 5-0 sh1tshow and I've stayed true to my word.

up until the start of the game was great. what happened during and after the game was a joke

That for me buries it
I think you’re right. Hoping for 5nil is unlikely to ever happen, and we mustn’t be greedy. Especially whilst we’ve European distraction….which Palace never had! :lolol:
