I'm utterly bored with the whole Rice saga, its as dull as Kane. But I did love his broken remarks just after we'd dry-humped them (again) at the Amex:

"They have a unique way of playing and we didn't work it out. To be out there was demoralising. To try and defend, seeing them keep the ball. I got a yellow card, could have got another one. I never want to feel like that on a football pitch. We're wearing the shirt of West Ham and the one thing that matters is fighting for the badge. Maybe it didn't look like we did, as we lost 4-0, but I can assure you we tried as best as we could but we were beaten by the better team."

Seen a few WHU v Brighton home and away games and don’t think ever thought ’oh shit, Rice is on the ball’ or ‘don’t let them give the ball to Rice’ and the like. Having said that, we took them to the cleaners more often than not so maybe a new better team may change things.

Ah Bless. I'm guessing Tone had to break it to them that they couldn't afford Moisés
They're getting £100M for Rice? They can probably afford Caicedo then. Caicedo might not want a move to West Ham though. I wouldn't, were I in his position (chance would be a fine thing!)

I wonder if Man City got involved just to make a rival over spend?

He’s never worth that much. I’m not sure he’s any better than what they already have.
In the match where we finished 9th he bossed the 1st half when WHU were the better side and Rice was running the game from a deep midfield position. At HT Potter brought Maupay on and Neal basically marked Rice, sat on him and he completely disappeared, WHU crumbled, we took over and won 3-1. That day Rice couldn’t cope with Neal flipping Maupay man marking him.
