Had a hunch Towner played for Wolves and when I googled him, Humphrey came up as a Wolves player in the same season. Don't think Humphrey played that many games for us. I remember him mainly as a Charlton player.

Although he joined Leicester in 1984, Simon Morgan made his Leicester debut in 1985-86. However, Russell Osman (Ipswich) is a yes!

Is there a bit of a trick in this? I thought of Mick Ferguson as a Birmingham player, but I've just noticed he also had a spell at Coventry in the 1983-84season, so is he on the list twice?

Blimey, that's good. I hadn't realised Mick Ferguson joined Coventry during that season - but no, it's someone else under Coventry.
