The only way I've ever been able to stay up in FM2006 is by flogging Jake somwheres -- last time it was Wigan -- for a million and a half, and then buying some proper players for Brighton.

Armed with that million quid, my cat could keep the virtual BHA mid-table.

Which tells me that the game mirrors the real world rather well.

Except for the million-quid-for-Jake bit.

Been Mansfield Manager from the start and just signed a new 3 year extension to my first 3 year deal. Got them promoted to league 1 thanks to top scorer Molango and also have Jarrett, Reidy and Gary Elphick who is club captain and a major star. Unfortunately Gary Hart refused to sign for me on 3 occasions

I thought I'd get some practice before sweeping into power at the Albion, so I opted to take over Crawley.

The plan's not gone too well. Mid-table in the first season, just above the relegation zone in the second. Applied for the Yeovil job and got turned down.

At this rate, I should achieve my ambition of landing the hot-seat at Falmer some time around 2040.

Manage to get Brighton promoted 2nd behind palarse on goal difference all in my first season. I send scouts out to look for players, got a really gd striker called Kritikos from some greek team, and some others from unknown clubs.
