Yeah I got it working, although lots of people do have the problem with the white screen. I occasionally get it when it loads up... generally leave it a minute or two and it's working again.

works fine for me but my Vista installation must be corrupt somewhere as the SP1 installation didn't work.

Apparently SP1 wont download/install properly if you have what Microsoft has deemed to be "incompatible" drivers already installed on your pc.

I struggled with this on Minis laptop and the suggestion was to set up another user then it will load which it did.

Yes I read that yesterday but they don't tell you what "incompatible" drivers you have. I don't have any weird hardware, it's all pretty standard. Not happy.

There is a patch that was released that addressed the Vista/FM problem I believe.

Have a look at Windows Vista Service Pack 1 is not available for installation from Windows Update and is not offered by Automatic Updates Apart from audio drivers it also wont work with Symantec (Norton).

I downloaded the SP1 independently but it is now offered in my Windows Update. I have nothing on the computer from Norton and my audio system is by Realtek. I don't want to try installing it again as last time it buggered my system up!!
