Leeds have just gone properly bankrupt in my game - I managed to snap up a few of their players (McCormack, Byram, Lees) on bargain deals. They were deducted 10 points, and are now back in League One where they belong. My Premier League campaign has got off to a rocky start - was top after the first game (beating Norwich 4-1), but have lost the next two and now am suffering with injuries. However, I have just signed Elliot Bennett on loan, so things may get better....

just finished 2nd in my 4th season in the prem with brighton, signed some absolute wonderkids from brazil argentina with some good english youngsters to keep the balance. found lewis dunk as much as his ratings suggest he plays really well, alot of the goals were his mistakes so dropped him (he wanted a new challenege anyway) and had the 3rd best defence in the league. my average age in the team must be about 24 so plenty of good years to come most of my wonderkids are wanted by madrid, bayern, barca so will be hard to keep hold of them but dont need the money as champions league revenue should allow me to keep them. a great player you should look to sign in the prem about 4/5 mill is leandro parades pulls all the strings for my team behind the striker

Posting results in my Brighton game up to the boro match, since we're almost there in reality. I seriously don't know what has happened because I'm usually mediocre at best when it comes to FM. I'm worried that someone will inform me I've stumbled across a bug, which would be shyte as that was not my intention. I scrounged around discussion boards for ideas and theory on how to construct a tactic that played football I liked and came up with my primary tactic, below. I also have two variation on said tactics mainly for more aggressive play when I feel it's required. I'll try to get a couple of the goals uploaded to youtube (I'm not so good at it) so you can see what it can produce.

Results, as I said have been pretty spectacular, cups excepted.

You'll note not a single goal conceded until QPR mid September (league) and the defense held pretty solid in front of an in-form Kuzszack until he got injured during the Watford Match. To date only 12 goals conceded though, so I'm chuffed with that.

Transfers didn't start off as well as i'd hoped as I managed to irritate Orlandi to the point he didn't want to stay. I still got 1.6m for him though, so it wasn't all bad. I also managed to get 4.5m for Buckles and replaced both on the cheap; the replacements have been revelations thankfully. My only regret was bringing in Vardy. It seemed like a good idea at the time as Ulloa was out for a few weeks and I only had Barnes and Vellios fit. Vellios admirably filled the void until Ulloa came back and Vardy is still yet to make an appearance, much to Pearson's annoyance. Oh well :p

I'm waiting for the inevitable collapse to occur, because this run of form is ridiculous. I've never done this well.

That 4-1-2-2wide-1 formation seems to be the one my team struggles AGAINST. Play basic 4-4-2 / 4-4-1-1 mostly as lower league side but 4-2-3-1 was good when my team dominated the lowest division.

Managed to recover to a 2nd place in second season (1st in Skrill Prem). Just the play-offs to come so fingers crossed.

Wherever The Mood Takes Me
I was just looking at the replays for the 3rd qualifying round of the FA Cp and Worthing were playing Bath City. The game ended 1-1 and went to penalties were it was 42-42. Yes 42 all !!!! In seems to have buggered up things as when I looked at the match report it just stopped and never announced the winner.

Oh and Oscar has just taken over at QPR while Gus, unemployed at present is in the running for his "Dream job" at Dirty Leeds!!

Does anybody else have the same problem as me with the game coming up with an error during a match? You can continue with the match but then can't continue onto the next day. It only happens occasionally but it really annoys me!!

Just wondering if anybody else has experienced this and if so do they know of a solution.

Cheers

It's all going a bit tits up in preseason ahead of my third season. Despite finishing 11th, Bridcutt and Planas want to leave, and a bunch of players have been sold/released thinking I'd be able to find better replacements on the cheap, but I'm struggling.

I've signed Adam Johnson and Tom Huddlestone, but I need another four players minimum and I'm not having much luck. Also struggling to find good young regen wonderkids too that I would bring in as squad players...

Could be a long season

Out of curiousity, has anyone broken FFP rules in the game yet?

I enjoy the challenge of trying to succeed within the wage budget so I've not come across it yet...

Also, third in L2 with Exeter at the start of Jan '18 in my game with none other than George Barker as my top scorer.

Re-living my youth and purchased this at the weekend (not played for several years).

I’m pretty impressed although it’s taking it’s time no more being able to play 24 hour straight.

Played my league game last night and beat Leeds 1 nil although they did get a player sent off after 5 minutes, so not that convincing, although I was unbeaten in pre-season.

I’ve settled for a 4-5-1 formation and feel the the squad in the main is pretty strong although have made a few changes –

Out –
Sent Ward and Andrews back (as both were high earners)
Sold both Ankergren £90k & Brezovan £25k

In –
Two GK for backup one was a free the other on-loan from Man United
Planas £200k to replace Ward
A reserve DM Free (I’ve persuaded Bridcutt to stay on the promise that I’ll sell him at the end of the season, I'm hoping to get promoted so that he’ll be happyto stay for longer)
A CM (Vicente – not the Vicente some young kid) to compete with Crofts as a box-to-box midfileder
Hunt AML free (to cover for lu-lua)
Bentley AMR free (to compete with Buckley)
Vellios loan from Everton as a another option up front.

All in all I’m pretty happy, next I want to freshen up the coaches and maybe clear out another high earner (possible Angustien) as I use Orlandi and Lopez as advanced playmaker.
