Watching an interview with Cantona on Football Focus;

Question "If you could take one memory away with you when you were playing what would it be?"

Cantona: "When I did the Kung Fu on the hooligan!"

Interviewer: "Really?"

Cantona: "Yeah,,,,,,," (slightly tongue-in-cheek)

Top man.

Cracking interview that - you get the impression he really is a maniac. Shame Lawrenson could only manage "well, he's different" as his analysis

The only way I could love King Eric more was if he were to walk up to Streatham-raised John Galliano and kick him in the nuts.

I would assume you mean Lawenson, Cantona although entertaining would have been a liability

I thought he got it spot on with his comments about youngsters wanting to be rich and famous rather than the best they can be.

I think his attitude is spot-on when it comes to having academies and producing all your own talent, though he did acknowledge that it would take at least five years for players to reach the first team.

Yes he is a bit different, but that was one of the most compelling and captivating interviews I have seen from anyone involved in football in many a year.

Whilst I agree that Lawrenson is the finest player we have had (to date), Cantona was probably the main reason why United went back to the top of the Prem after years being in the shadow of Liverpool.
