does anyone know any decent players to buy, coz im i a spot of trouble. I know one player called Cerci for AS ROMA, but u have to get him at the beginning of the game.
I need some help with FM2005 too. I have started jobless and got the job as Exeter manager which is proving more difficult than I expected. I'm languishing mid-table, playing a straight-forward 442 with a DMC and an AMC. I've bought in Regi Blinker who has proved to be a great help in scoring goals but my defence leaks badly and I am getting far oo many draws for my liking. Budget is next to nothing but I need some new talent and I also worry my formation isn't tight enough.
If you are, you should be seeing areas of weakness all the time.
I tend to switch formations during each game depending on how the team are doing. I always keep a flat back four but will change from 4-1-4-1 to 4-3-3 at home when I'm not winning and occasionally to a 4-4-2 away if the opposition are playing fewer midfielders.
with a 4-1-2-1-2 like you describe, I'd suggest playing quite narrow, as the midfield can be over-run at times. It'll also help to push the oppositions wingers wide, useful if you've got decent Centre Backs.
I've not found a formation which works for every team. I don't think one exists. You'll have to adapt to the players you have.
erm i was brighton but i got offered a job at sheffield utd because they are in the premiership, and brighton wer mid safety, i got 5m to spend, anyone decent out there to buy
