Hughton has said fur several weeks now he will be “available ...after the international break. “
He’s been training now for a week as projected by Hughton.
He posted on insta a post last Thursday saying “I’m back”. The club have posted pix of him in the sessions.
There’s a rumour , on here only, that he needs a groin operation. Or he’s had one. Or about to have one. Hughton has never mentioned this in any of the multiple times he’s been asked about his fitness since he played 45 mins v Nice in pre season.
My guess is he needs some game time with the the u23s first so it’s probably Spurs or Man City. At earliest.
Another update from Hughton likely later this week in the press conference pre Saints.
An update of all the latest injury statuses and *every* Hughton quotes on player recovery/returns is logged via this thread
