Market inflation, limited options, competition from other clubs, bad luck, all of these are factors that affected our transfer window, could we have averted it? Maybe, maybe not. At the very least if it proves a disaster then we can lick our wounds and try again. Hindsight is 20/20, but only time will tell.

It wasn't hindsight. Fans repeatedly stated a lack of pace and goal scorers was the weakness many months ago. This isn't a lottey. The club had the resources to plan for it, make moves early on, and get striker deals over the line.

Naylor just tweeted this: Could it be our man?

BREAKING: Albion have applied for a signing extension and been agreed until 1pm. Believe it's a striker. #bhafc

Krul would not come here to be 3rd choice. Ryan is ideal for that

Do you not think they were trying to sign a striker alongside a third choice goalkeeper?

Of course I don't think we are unable to complete both at the same time but if money is an issue I would rather save cash from such unnecessary signings and put them towards a player that may help us to stay ul

Naylor tweet suggests an agreement has been reached on SOMEONE and just needs finalising before 1am to satisfy late paperwork clause.

The fee and contract duration must be submitted by 11, and all the other guff paper by 1am. I understand that has happened.

You just started a thread saying 'How must CH feel?' - you've changed your story 47 times tonight

Not saying it was "a load of shite" - But do you think it's right we cannot sign a main striker over the course of 150+ days for the most glaringly obvious position in the squad that needs filling?

Do you think it's easy to find a striker capable of scoring 10+ goals in the Premier League who wants to join the relegation favourites, who's club is willing to sell at the right price?

I appreciate where you are coming from but at the end of the day the paying 'customers' were promised a squad that could compete in the Premier League.
Were we? I don't know that you're wrong, but I don't remember being promised anything.

No striker all transfer window is negligent not just unlucky
That's kind of how I feel - but as I wait in line for the noose, I'm hearing whispers that there's a stay of execution.
