Falmer, soon...
Hi all.

Looking at a big chunk of flooring for home renovation. Have used Moduleo before in my study and think its decent compared to Karndean prices but see the prices are now c£40 a sq metre.

Any NSCer in the know who can point me at a better value alternative?

Real wood/engineered is not an option.

We're having our lounge floor fitted with wooden flooring next week.
These guys, couldn't have done enough for us, in the way of advice and recommendations of flooring fitters.
https://www.spacers-uk.com/ based in Ruislip.
Worth giving them a call.

I'm guessing you're actually in Barnet

Thanks. Actually near Hemel Hempstead so Ruislip is definitely doable. My boys love the train at the lido :)

Excellent.
The lido is only 5 mins from us, a lot cleaner than it used to be.
Try and avoid BH, a lot of parking restrictions in force and gets very crowded with a lot of inner city Londoners visiting.

I'm a huge Karndean fan, but I'm pretty sure there is a flooring specialist amongst the regulars

Could it be Psychobilly freakout ? Apologies if not

Moduleo is a poor man’s Karndean which in turn copied and a second choice to Amtico.
1: Moduleo, has in my opinion a very poor finish to the edges, look closely and you can tell it’s plastic, also they are having distribution issues, get the retailer to check stock and give you a delivery date, before you leave a deposit - this is a must, do not fall for we need a deposit before they can give me a delivery date line. In short I’m not a fan even though we have a large stand (I use it to show people how shit I think it is, compared to its rivals.

2: Karndean good products, nice texture, but limited on colours within various ranges (trying to keep cost reasonable) Van Gogh is the best range, has a nice finish, big planks and a good bevelled edge, making it look more realistic.

3: Amtico - Spacia - wide choice of colours, lovely texture and bevelled edges, wide, standard and parquet effect in lots of colours and not a bad price.

If you want any advice pm me, I’m not interested in selling you anything, don’t worry.

Lifestyle is a re brand name for Colonia, and a few other LVT’s made by polyflor (for retailers to market to domestic customers and contract) who make a lot of safety flooring, good product, not a wide selection of colours, but if you hit it right colour wise a good choice.

I'm going to floor my garden office in about a months time (when I have finished building it) and was looking at LVT click flooring. Have laid glue down flooring and its a pain in the whastit. I want to put down something that i wont have to touch for years. Do u think this is a good product for that?

Wrong Direction & I have just fitted £800 of 'Kraus' Hadley Oak Vinyl Laminate in my Hall/Dining Room and Kitchen.
Got it from B&Q Shoreham as not stocked in my Brighton store.
£70.47 for a 2.2sqm box, very expensive but it is meant to be completely waterproof.
Luckily we saved 20% due to various deals going at the time.
I would give it a 8/10 as it was a bit of a pain in the rear end to fit, and didn't always click into place.
Still got to pick the stair carpet but here is a picture so far.

Blimey that pic came out a lot darker than in real life:moo:

Sorry for the late reply, yes indeed it is far better than Laminate and you do not need to do prep work to the subfloor unless it looks like the Himalayas !! Karndean do a new one called rigid core
