Albion in the Community
Brighton & Hove Albion Foundation
Albion in the Community is recruiting for five new jobs as part of a new partnership with Adur and Worthing Councils aimed at improving the health of local people in both areas.
AITC’s health department will work jointly with the two local authorities on two projects – a community-based cancer awareness initiative aimed at men and women over 50 – and a healthy lifestyles programme targeting 18-50 year-olds with a focus on tackling obesity through healthy eating and physical exercise.
Both projects will initially run for year but could be extended for longer if successful. The two projects have created a number of new posts and AITC is currently recruiting for a Volunteer Co-ordinator and Volunteer Assistant for the cancer awareness project and three ‘Well-Being’ coaches to work on the healthy lifestyles project.
Stuart Christie, head of health, Albion in the Community said: “We are delighted to be working with both councils on these vitally important projects and we hope that this partnership builds on the successful and valuable work Albion in the Community have been doing for a number of years in Adur and Worthing.”
Anyone interested in applying for the jobs should e-mail their cv and covering letter to heidi.rush albioninthecommunity.org.uk
