Ireland may get battered here. And it's not their fault. They've played hardly any Test cricket and are missing seamers. I do wonder if Josh Little will ever play Tests.

Anyway, bat and ball is back. Joy of joys ! And you can look forward to my bolshy know-it-all opinions for the next two months.

A long, long look from the umpire... and up goes the finger.

Reviewed as it was a long way down.

Potts rewarded for a good spell.

43.3 W Potts to McBrine, OUT
Nicked off this time! Angling in from around the wicket, then nipping away just a fraction off the seam to take the outside edge as McBrine looks to drive through the covers. Bairstow snaffles a routine chance and Potts celebrates his first Test wicket since August
Andy McBrine c †Bairstow b Potts 19 (23b 3x4 0x6) SR: 82.6

142-7

FIVE for BROAD :clap2:

53.5 W Broad to Adair, OUT
A five-for for Broad - his third at Lord's, the previous one came ten years ago. An inswinger pitching outside off and nipping back to beat the on-the-up drive. Sneaked through the gap between bat and pad to hit the top of off
Mark Adair b Broad 14 (32b 2x4 0x6) SR: 43.75

Stuart Broad 16.5-5-51-5

169-8

Target could be a lead of 75-100 by close, then really push on in the morning session to declare 350 ahead and leave them with a few tricky overs before lunch?

All a bit one sided, I suppose a decent warm up game but not a Test Match...

146-1
It’s essentially a net session they’ve been able to flog corporate tickets for, genius really
