22nd October 1983 we won 2-0 up there in Div 2. Thought I was correct.


Take that back it was 3-1 to them I misread it but it was at home to them. So perhaps I havent then.

Got to say this. I am pleased with the amount of complimentary remarks from the owls faithful after that game. At least they can acknowledge our good side (well some of their fans) but apparently Knocky is a c*** and our CBs should at least let FF out of their pockets now the games over.................

Was a surreal moment, as the recently departed manager appeared in the North Stand and was lifted aloft by fans. Very few fans were watching the football, the events behind the goal were much more interesting. Certain members of the press corps also abandoned the confines of the press-box and hot-footed round to get a first-hand scoop.
