Are they the worst tho? Or just relatively young & unknown over here?

They seem to be giving a fairly decent account of themselves, so far as I can see.

For example, Hauritz seems to get universally slagged for his bowling as being distinctly average. But wickets keep on falling to the bloke.

What's your point I completely accept that Australia have been the better side in this game in all departments. The point about them being worse than previous sides is merely because of all the stars they've lost in recent years- Warne, McGrath, Hayden, Langer, Gilchrist and so on, therefore on paper, they are a worse side. Presumably, though, they'll start to make a name for themselves pretty soon.
