Indeed, as I said earlier I can see the headlines tomorrow if they hold on

"heroes"

With a number of photos of England players smiling and laughing and not ashamed at all.

Possibly. Tho that would be only papering over the cracks bigtime tho eh and would be fooling nobody at all.

Peter Siddle 'muggy little c**t'

Been pretty good for them though, hasn't he?

He's bowled a lot better than Johnson in this match.

Way out west
Ten overs to go with only one wicket remaining...would be a miracle if we can force the draw!

It's a bit crap that we're about to lose by an innings to the worst Australian side in years. I realise that's all relative when you consider their relentlessly high standards, but it is faintly depressing.

Though if we can get pass their score then it is only 8 overs left.

Edna, just a quick fact. Cricket matches are usually won by the team that bats and bowls better than the other team. Did we honestly bat better and bowl better than the alleged "worst " Australian side in years ?

Never a dull moment though. The Welsh did well with their first test.

If we get past their score then get out it's 2 overs scrapped PLUS the one you're currently in. So am I right in thinking we could afford to be bowled out on the first ball of the third to last over (as long as we're ahead of their score of course)?

Is there no depth to which we will plunge in the hope of avoiding the inevitable ?

Are they the worst tho? Or just relatively young & unknown over here?

They seem to be giving a fairly decent account of themselves, so far as I can see.

For example, Hauritz seems to get universally slagged for his bowling as being distinctly average. But wickets keep on falling to the bloke.

What's your point??? I completely accept that Australia have been the better side in this game in all departments. The point about them being worse than previous sides is merely because of all the stars they've lost in recent years- Warne, McGrath, Hayden, Langer, Gilchrist and so on, therefore on paper, they are a worse side. Presumably, though, they'll start to make a name for themselves pretty soon.
