Isn't it only closed on the bit inside the m25 anyway? shouldn't affect the rest of it too much I wouldn't have thought.

It might even be worth using the m1 as so many people seem to not realise this. Apprently the m40 was chocker yesterday.

It's worth going m40 because there are two long average speed checks on the m1

and just one junction up on the M6north
as of last Tuesday there were no roadworks or speed checks on that route and it is usually the quickest route by a good way

What's so beneficial about the M1 anyway? I don't get why you'd use it over the M40, unless I'm missing something about getting round that side of Birmingham.

M40's traffic is fine on weekends.
