Not sure of your point. But despite playing a very high number of games and nearly all their players playing international football, City were only missing one player, who will likely be back next week. We've got a whole team out. That's why we're bringing on youngsters

In all honesty there is a case to say that most of there bench if not all would have been in our first 11 tonight

Shocking news as treble winners, global brand and head of the ‘City Group’ have better players than Brighton & Hove Albion

Are the EPL in panic mode trying to please the incoming regulator?
Does the game need a regulator? Who will be involved?
I am not in favour of a regulator as history tells us that they mostly get corrupted by the industry they are supposed to regulate (an example the water companies).
Similarly the EFL has the fit and proper owner test(or something like that) which is suspect at best at worst has destroyed historic clubs like Bury.
Anyone have a suggestion of how it could work?

These aren't the players you're looking for.

No sympathy for Chelsea Sam and the other big clubs. Selling players to balance the books is they way the 'smaller' clubs have been forced to run.

Football was supposed to be a meritocracy, everything else is stacked in their favour and they don't like it when they have to live like the other half.

I agree, if they sell their young talent to other clubs in the EPL it would surely strengthen the competition within the league. Which is why the 'big clubs' don't want it.
