The stewards and police taking appropriate action in the South Stand wouldn't have looked very good on Sky.

They didnt show any disorder in the stadium. Which maybe a good thing.

Bald guy with beard was defiantly looking for a fight on the back row of the North stand, heated arguments continued throughout the game, sad to hear those kinda songs after 15mins but now feeling they were warranted, sometimes I feel like giving the Judge a slap, its not all about the singing! Sometimes you need to just shut the fuc* up when tensions are running high

He wasn't looking for a fight, he chanted what he thought was right and the NSK took exception to it. He even offered to shake Judge's hand!

I wasn't there but watched on Sky. To me the club seems to need a root and branch review. Yes, TB put the money up for the club and the training facility and yes, he has said he has the ambition to drive the club to premiership - but has the soul of the club been the cost of that ambition? I know that under Dick we had a magical time on a shoestring. Ups and downs, but the whole fan base and club seemed to be as one. Since TB started to throw his money and weight (yeah, I know!) about we seem to have lost that club family value that held us together. A return to Dick may not be the answer and I doubt (and regret) he will want to get involved. But unless we fans stick together and support the club we will just go further down. I support the family that is the Albion and the family has spoken. Sami it is time to go and take that incomprehensible style (?) of football with you. Tony, do the right thing for once and listen to the fans who sang your name - let Sami go and bring in an experienced manager who knows this league.

I didn't see this and if this is the case then he's just as bad as Judge wading in like a bull in a china shop to square up to someone and get right in his face to intimidate him. It seemed to me that the NSK were waiting to pounce on anyone who wanted Sami out. It was all pre planned by them. Well done to others standing their ground.

I know this fella and he wasn't looking for a fight prob just had too many drinks i was in there trying to calm it down, the judge for me was well out of order before when him and his son fronted up a couple of lads across from me who held up a bit of card in the first half so I would say it was just as much him inciting others

It reminds me of the troubles at the Goldstone and the boycotted match in protest.

An awful lot of fans were torn between boycotting, wanting to get Archer and co out but also between attending to support the team and i suspect there is a lot of this now where people want Hyypia gone but don't want to do anything that then affects the teams performance on the pitch. (loyalty to the team)

It wouldn't have stopped those facing that dilemma at the Goldstone from joining in the protests outside the ground, the marches in Mellor or whatever because it wasn't during the match

I think we risk getting a tad carried away here. Although these are dark days, they are nothing in comparison with those that we faced in the mid/late 90's under the Archer regime.

'All' that we face now is relegation to one division lower, not expelled from the Football League, and rendered homeless.

Bad enough l know, but we need to keep it in comparison.

Okay so being just in front of the melee in the WSL this is what actually happened. The guy was having a pop at Hyppia and Jones and one of the track suited coaching staff or analyst started having a pop back at him. This then led to words between the 2 which followed track suit getting up coming up the guy (whilst swearing his head off) in an intimidating manner. Scuffle then broke out between these 2. The track suit had initials PW on. Stewards prised them apart and all calmed down for 5 minutes whilst lots of supervisors and mangers were seen chin wagging together. Then around 8 stewards waded in to pull the guy out and this is when the guy and his brother and Dad kicked off. The stewards were so heavy handed and basically caused the problem and the fistie cuffs. PW tracksuit just sat there with a grin on his face (and will no doubt get no further action taken against him) and the dad and brothers were escorted out.
Now I don't condone the fighting or some of the things that were said to Jones and Hyppia (although the guy was not swearing at them) however this whole incident was caused by PW tracksuit (a club employee) and the amateurish stewarding. If they had left the incident alone and spoken to the guy after the game none of this would have happened.

What stewards using common sense don't be stupid. Home fans are easy targets. As for the stewards exchanging punches that is a bloody disgrace. They are supposed to show restraint not go toe to toe. Mind you how dare those fans who pay hard earned cash vent their spleen at that performance! It's quite worrying that it's seems that you can't even protest your disdain anymore. The club might rue this performance yet again from the stewards.
