Fighting in the north, west and south...

Spun Cuppa

Thanks Greens :(
I have known you a while via NSC and respect you but trust me the DNA in our club is totally wrecked at present and just by changing the manager will not make anything better.

BHAFC needs a total shake up from the bottom up, we are in a total mess at present.

Totally agree. Football is about the soul of clubs, and all the time PB spouts complete bollo*ks and people wear it, that soul slowly dies. Call me a bad fan, but I backed us to go down before game was played this season, as I knew our performances would be inversely proportional to the hype and spin coming from the suits. And from following the club for forty five years as well of course...

Looked like some very handed stewarding in WSL from what I could see.

Guy was having a go at Hyypia/jones and suddenly about half a dozen stewards jumped on him.

The guy next to me had to leave early because his five year old was so upset about the fightin in the WSL and South stand.
Made me feel pretty sad.
what on earth has it come to?

You know its bad when we end up fighting ourselves on the terrace.
I will say i enjoy the atmosphere in the NW area but the Sami songs tonight were 1 step to far

The guy who was overly aggressive and looked like he was trying to fight with someone else in the area (young teamer?) and then right in a female stewards face before he then started trying to throw punches towards others nearby him before kicking out leading to several stewards trying to prevent this (and he was still kicking out then too) and eventually they managed to escort him away? It appeared that the group behind the dugout (youth teamers?) were then removed also after that guy had gone (connected?)

No chance of drawing any line under this, we have hit the wall big time and are in total meltdown now.

Watch this space it will get very nasty as fans are right royally fed up with this anal dirge we now have and to be honest it is a fecking disgrace.

Bang on the money, my sentiments exactly, I'm seething after tonight, the whole club is a complete joke from top to bottom....

It's not about backing him, some people just don't like anything negative while the team are playing. I tend to agree.

I don't back him but I'm also not turning on him in the middle of a match and I can understand why doing that upsets people.

Thats why he'll continue - we let him and Jones off so lightly tonight. If the situation had been reversed and Millwall were in our situation their fans would've torn Hyypia and Jones to pieces - we let them off with barely a f**king murmur - we get what we deserve.

Should be an interesting meeting this week.

Fans fighting amongst themselves, stewards doing f all in the away end yet overreacting in the home end.

I couldn't see why it took 5+ stewards to 'deal' with the guy in the lower west. They manhandled him to the ground and dragged him out. One of the female stewards totally lost the plot and was screaming at him; right in his face. It wasn't called for...but was more exciting than what was happening on the pitch lol

Meanwhile Millwall take the piss out of the stewards in the South Stand.

Okay so being just in front of the melee in the WSL this is what actually happened. The guy was having a pop at Hyppia and Jones and one of the track suited coaching staff or analyst started having a pop back at him. This then led to words between the 2 which followed track suit getting up coming up the guy (whilst swearing his head off) in an intimidating manner. Scuffle then broke out between these 2. The track suit had initials PW on. Stewards prised them apart and all calmed down for 5 minutes whilst lots of supervisors and mangers were seen chin wagging together. Then around 8 stewards waded in to pull the guy out and this is when the guy and his brother and Dad kicked off. The stewards were so heavy handed and basically caused the problem and the fistie cuffs. PW tracksuit just sat there with a grin on his face (and will no doubt get no further action taken against him) and the dad and brothers were escorted out.
Now I don't condone the fighting or some of the things that were said to Jones and Hyppia (although the guy was not swearing at them) however this whole incident was caused by PW tracksuit (a club employee) and the amateurish stewarding. If they had left the incident alone and spoken to the guy after the game none of this would have happened.

Exactly as it happened. I sit in row behind and one steward in particular has had it in for that guy for a couple of seasons now. If it had been dealt with better the incident would have fizzed out.

If referring to this incident in the WSL, then no it wasn't an over reaction imo. The guy was throwing punches and kicks at the stewards as they went to remove him after he was being overly aggressive towards a female steward and then whilst still talking to her, he had lunged at someone else looking to fight them. Even after the stewards had hold of him, he was still kicking out and one steward almost had to rugby tackle him to grab his legs and prevent the kicks. - This was after an initial incident with someone in a club tracksuit behind the dugout but he was clearly very wound up and angry (the group were later removed too without them responding by throwing punches and kicks otherwise i'd have expected that to take several stewards to remove them too)

A guy in a tracksuit with the initials - PW. Can only be Paul Warber. Warber OUT!

In all honesty this is very sad to hear of fans fighting amongst themselves. Bloom has really got to sort this mess out - Bin the Finn.

Not the real one
So what has football come to at the Albion? Where fans can no longer call for a manager to go or have a bunch of stewards all over you. If this was the way of things back 20 years ago we'd have never had the fight to get rid of Archer and Bellotti.
