About every month we get a fighter jet flying low down the Cuckemere valley then turns west over Seaford Head and heads along the Channel. This week including today it has happened twice. Must have used up The RAF's fuel allowance for January already.

If its a Typhoon it has to fly with air to air missiles on its wing tips to maintain the best weight distribution

So what happens once it's fired one then?

Apparently its something to do with Dungeness Power Station. There are two fighter jets assigned to it which carry out training runs/fly bys once every so often.

Bit of a flaw if engaged in a dog fight and the enemy pilot deploys flares responsibly enough.
