Well thats my argument shot to Pieces, so why is the bloke who is moaning about downloading content trying to get an online membership if it was already free.
He's the dick and i must do more research in future. by the way is this a new feature?

Xbox Live Silver you can download content (demos, trailers etc), but not play online. I think.
To be fair im not a hardcore gamer, I have a PS3 and I own Battlefield 3 that is it, I brought a PS3 just to play Battlefield 3, so basically im on a wind up.
I will however be getting Fifa 13 as i'm fed up of my two brothers who still live at home telling me how great at Fifa they are and when i get round there being so out of practice they spank me. NOT THIS YEAR. I training hard and will be dishing out spankings like its Fifa 98 again.
Sadly not owned. as I would consider being able to play games online, a basic membership.

I was thinking exactly the same thing as I was typing it. Once again i will be running down the wing crossing it and scoring hat fulls of overhead kicks! seriously Fifa 98 was a classic.

The FIFA Demo is Gold membership only, which you have to pay a subscription for. PS+, which you have to pay a subscription for, has Demo's and Beta's as well. I have both myself.

I much prefer the PS3 over the Xbox for two main reasons - the exclusive titles are much better, and it has a blu-ray player.

You need to be a Gold member to download the Fifa demo and also Arsenal are truly awful on this game. Playing 4 games on legendary though and yet to concede a goal so it's easier than last year.
I decided to make it hard for myself *Insert Kenneth Williams noise here* so played on the hardest difficulty straight away against all the top clubs as Dortmund. Results:
0-3
0-2
0-1
0-1
1-1 - won on pens
0-0
2-2 - won on pens
So, worth the perseverance.

But the 'basic' cost of buying the ps3 is MORE. You are paying up front for your online play.
You have the choice with the xbox and its reduced initial cost.
If they were the same price, then you'd have a point.
I failed to mention, I was moving out, so had no DvD or Blu ray player to take, it all built into one really.
as I previously said, I'm on a wind up. I really couldn't care less what was better, they both do exactly the same thing, id still spank you at Fifa, but because you have such a crap console I will be unable too.
instead, lets take pictures of our dicks and see whose is bigger.
Even then it would be a case of "yeah, but mine has more FEATURES!"
